Mary Hollister is a fused glass artist who combines glass with driftwood from local Washington beaches to create entirely unique indoor mobiles. Since her studies at the Pratt School of Art in Seattle, Washington in the mid-2000s, Mary has been creating mobiles, as well as key chains, pendants, magnets, candle-holders, and bowls in her kiln. Recently, her work is expanding to include stained glass. Her art, especially the mobiles, is inspired by the late Alexander Calder who is known for his work with movement, shape, and color in his innovative mobiles.
